ELECTION RULES AND REGULATIONS
Section I. GENERAL.
The Philippine Society for Industrial Security, Inc. (PSIS), a non-sectarian, non-stock and non-profit industrial security organization was established to promote professionalism and camaraderie among fellow security practitioners in the country.
As mandated by its Constitution and By-Laws, the Society shall hold an election every last Saturday of October of every year to elect the members of the Board of Directors for the succeeding year. The Board shall consist of ELEVEN (11) Directors; to be voted at large during the OCTOBER general membership meeting.
Pursuant to the PSIS Constitution and By-Laws and Policy Guide the “PSIS COMELEC GROUND RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR THE ELECTION OF THE MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS” is hereby approved and promulgated to the General Membership for adoption.
Section II. COMPOSITION, QUALIFICATION AND APPOINTMENT OF PSIS COMELEC.
The PSIS President has the sole authority to appoint the members of the COMELEC.
COMELEC members to be appointed must posses the following qualifications;
1. Must be a legitimate member of the PSIS, Inc.,
2. Must be a past president of PSIS,
3. Must be a member of good standing,
4. Must be Non-Partisan, and
5. Of unquestionable integrity and of good moral character.
